avast secure browser review is an internet browser that places a big emphasis on privacy and security, with features such as Bank Mode and anti-tracking technology. It has an integrated VPN, which lets you stay protected and access the internet quickly. It official site is based upon Chromium. This means that it appears as if it works, and also supports Chrome extensions.

Avast Secure Browser comes with an array of security and privacy extensions pre-installed with it, including an ad blocker and an anti-phishing extensions, one for anti-tracking, a disguise for fingerprints feature, HTTPS encryption support, extension guard, password manager, and even the ability to double-check your credentials on websites like HaveIBeenPwned. All these extensions are available within the browser’s Security & Privacy Center. You can also personalize each extension individually according to your preferences.

The ad blocker’s capabilities are quite robust and the mode of strict blocking can be used to keep a majority of advertisements out of view. It also blocks flash files, which helps pages load faster. The browser can also identify sites that are fraudulent and warn you about any potential scams. However, this feature is less robust that Google’s Scam Alert.

The browser claims to “track proof,” which is just a fancy name for the Do Not Track standard. The standard isn’t as strong as it could be. The anti fingerprinting capabilities of the browser are also limited, and only scrambles a small portion of your user agent string.
